Honggang Gu is currently a Full Professor in School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST). He focuses on the research field of micro/nano optical measurement technology and instrumentation. His research interests include advanced ellipsometry, computational imaging, optical metrology and inspection for integrated circuits, characterization of low-dimensional materials and complex nanostructures, micro-nano light field manipulation and applications, and optical simulations and optimization of stratified optoelectronic devices (e.g. OLED, OPV, etc.). He has published more than 100 SCI-indexed papers and authorized more than 50 patents. He is the winner of the Paul Drude Award of the 9th international conference on spectroscopy ellipsometry (ICSE). He is a fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM).
